About Me

“Our character is basically a composite of our habits. Because they are consistent, often unconcious patterns, they constantly, daily, express our character.” - Stephen Covey

People are complicated. They’re confusing, contradictory, and unstable. It’s impossible, even foolish, to try and explain who someone is. However, if you agree with the quote above, it becomes possible to begin to know someone if you know something about their habits.

So then, my habits…I love mountains. I love to rock climb, mountain climb, ski, backpack, hike, and boulder. Unfortunately I don’t live in the mountains. I go to college in Pennsylvania at Grove City College. I am a Junior and an International Business major with a French minor. I study, and manage my time well. I work at Banana Republic and on campus part-time. In the summers, I work on a concrete crew.

I lived in Poland for 9 years, then moved to Kansas for another 9. I don’t consider myself Kansan, or Polish, or anything really. I move around a lot, and I hate staying in one place for a very long time. I call ‘Home’ where ever I am staying for extended periods of time. But back to my habits…

I like to sleep, and I hate early mornings. I like talking to people, but I’m also rather elitist. I hate being seen as ‘normal’ or ordinary. I’m moderately crazy, and not shy. I’m an introverted extrovert. I have many different masks that I wear. I like to put people in categories, and I’m very observant. I sense emotions very quickly, probably because I have 3 sisters, and no brothers…

I’m a christian, although I’m hesitant to say that because the word means almost nothing. I believe in Jesus Christ as my only path to salvation. Everything else takes second stage to that fact.

I love music, I have OCD, I’m good with technology, I like cars, I play the piano…there’s a lot more, but one last thing…

I want to make life more simple. It doesn’t have to be so complicated, you know? I mean really, why do we all have to think so much? For once in your life, just saw screw it and do something. Don’t think, just do it. Send that 5.13 you know might kill you. Project that double digit boulder. Push for that summit. Take the jump, don’t look down. Throw your arms out wide and just take it all in! God made it and he made you. Bring the two together and you have a moment of freedom such that nothing else on earth can come close to.

So that’s it. Supposedly that’s me…
